Khao Yai is a beautiful area of Thailand, and the national park is a popular destination with tourists as well as locals, with plenty to see and do when you visit. Getting there is easy as you can take a bus or it is a couple of hours drive north of Bangkok. Khao Yai National Park covers an area of over 2000 kilometres square and is packed full with a diverse variety of wildlife. There are a couple of waterfalls that you can explore, and you may also be lucky enough to spot some wild elephants, which are a rare sight in Thailand now.

You may also wish to go on a guided night time tour of Khao Yai where you will be able to enjoy a night safari and observe the wildlife in its natural surroundings. You may be able to see wild elephants, as well as otters playing, wild gibbons in the trees, and barking deer as your tour the park in your safari jeep.
